VITO LOLI

Great-nephew of the painter Paul Gauguin, Alberto Loli Narvaez, better known as Vito Loli Peruvian artist, was born on August 12, 1954 in the city of Lima – Peru.

He is a self-taught painter who knows how to effectively combine different techniques and materials to capture his passion for nature and the female figure.

The vast majority of his work integrates these two passions, achieving very personal images, full of magic, with a direct and provocative message.

Through his work, the artist tries to share his introspective journey, using nature as a metaphor (www.vitololi.com).

He was selected and invited to exhibit in Paris, at the Comparaison “Art en Capital” au Grand Palais, in November 2009 among the 170 best painters in the world.

He was also invited to the Grand Gala and auction of the Archaeological Institute of the United States in New York in April 2010 where he donated the painting of the Ecoguerrera “Fauna”.

One of the most important invitations of his life was the one made to him at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland in 2010 for the year of Biological Diversity to present a collection of his works, on June 17 with the Jananpacha Project (which means in Quechua “The Sky on Earth”), Biodiversity, Ecology and Cultural Legacy of Peru as a World Heritage Site.

Vito has a very simple philosophy of life, he thinks that humility is the most intelligent of virtues, his main passion in life is painting, followed by the sport of surfing.

Today, Vito has clients on 5 continents and many of them have been collecting his paintings for over 20 years, one of the most prolific and best selling painters in this country.

He was a multi-instrumentalist musician, specialized in winds, playing flute, piccolo, recorders, soprano, alto, tenor saxophone, Armenian duduk, quenas, zampoñas, sicus and other Andean aerophones, and percussion. He was also a composer fundamentally interested in the fusion and integration of the popular music of Peru and the world.
