JANANPACHA COP20

JANANPACHA COP20 EXHIBITION

DECEMBRE 2014 – PERU

“Jananpacha Tunnel, Voices for Climate”.

At COP20 in Peru; Jananpacha became a multidisciplinary exhibition with a multi-sensory installation at the entrance of the Voices for Climate fair in a tunnel 84m long, 10m wide and 2.85m high, always with the objective of promoting our climatic, geographic and biological diversity. from 165 countries around the world and more than 70 thousand people toured this tunnel for 15 days as part of this important event on climate change.

We will always be grateful to our sponsors, whose support allowed us to realize and execute this production that left Peru at a high level not only artistically and culturally, but with a strong message regarding the problem of climate change and pollution.

The set-up for COP20 was unique and innovative, since, for the first time, we achieved a multi-sensory installation, with the participation of live characters in native costumes offering edible products, native to our country.

The painting and photographic prints were stamped on the side walls of the tunnel, which allowed us to conceive a transforming experience.

We also installed steam machines with essences and scents of our fruits, our musical background was the work composed by Manuel Miranda, the special sound effects of nature edited by the soundman Daniel Leon (collected in all our regions coast, highlands and jungle) thus highlighting our infinite diversity.

The painting and photographic prints were meticulously stamped on the wide side walls of the tunnel, generating an expansive and highly captivating visual impact. This careful arrangement gave us the opportunity to conceive and experience a truly transformative experience, where each image and each stroke of color merged to create an immersive and stimulating environment.
