UNITED NATIONS 2010

Jananpacha “Heaven on Earth”, a cultural event

recognized by the United Nations.

The first staging was held on June 17, 2010, “International Year of Biodiversity” at the UN headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. It was also considered the best cultural and artistic production of that same year. We were visited by 20,000 people during 3 weeks. The inauguration was attended by the Secretary General of Culture, Mr. Pierre Le Loarer of the UN, our representative in the Permanent Mission of Peru, Ambassador Fernando Rojas, and 50 other ambassadors.

Peruvian painter Vito Loli and cultural producer Erika Schaefer, through a joint initiative involving other Peruvian artists and photographers, sought to convey a legacy and a high-impact humanist message in the cultural event they organized at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Coinciding with the month of Ecology, to be celebrated in June, the 17th day of deforestation day, 2010 in the year of biodiversity of the planet, our event perfectly accompanied all the forums and exhibitions relevant to the subject prepared for the occasion.

The pictorial and photographic exhibition consisted of paintings by Peruvian artist Vito Loli, whose work is articulated in the message and idea of environmental protection through his Eco-Guerreras, characters that affably combine dreamlike sensuality and natural feminine beauty, and photographers Eduardo Herrán, José Álvarez Blas and Carlos Rojas.
